It's definitely too big for skilwarz. Except that, map is unfinished. There's a lof of open space and in some sectors all you did is spawn a few buildings and that's all.

Map size matters. Big map = slow gameplay. It will take minutes to find enemies.
Also you use a lot of props to fill whole terrain, what leads to bad performance.
Please don't make maps like this.

@iTerq i am aware of the open spaces and that was done deliberately as to make each place more or less distinct. in the case of the buildings spam, i worked with what i could, but i would like to hear your suggestion.

@OneManArmy The point of the map was to be big, but Ive played the map myself and knowing the total of about 6 spawns there are will be quite easy to find enemies with my experience being 1-2 minutes at most to find 1 person in a 1v1. As for performance, i am aware of that situation and even acknowledged it in the post that i showcased it on and at the moment there is nothing i can do about it without disrupting the core game play . this is a map for player who want a different SW Experience without compromising on central mechanics of SW that I enjoy.

So I just downloaded and looked over this map, and it's really just too big. The average SW map has an ideal player count of 4-8 people, this one is like 25-50 people. As a point of reference, I'm mostly done with "System", a small-medium sized map, also set on the Terrain item. You can see it takes up about 5% of the total area.

Keep in mind that games that have maps this big (Battlefield, Warhawk, etc.) almost always include vehicles to get around the map, and have a much larger room capacity, e.g. Warhawk had 32-player rooms, jeeps, tanks, and VTOL jets. Without that kind of mobility you would need even more players for the map to be fast-paced like the existing maps.

I'd recommend you'd look for map design inspiration in Call of Duty, for example. The maps for whatever game you choose need to have been made for about the same number of players as SW, i.e. ~4-10. "System" is heavily based on COD4's Vacant, a map for 2-18 people, but usually 6-12. Therefore one might expect it to be slower paced relative to the average existing map, but not that much of a difference.

As a final note, you really need to be careful with the prop usage. I get about 1/6 the normal framerate on this map, i.e. my usual 120 minimum on Custom becomes like 25 in some places. Again, with a smaller map you can have a good amount of props without dropping too many frames.

@impossybull im aware this map is really big and that the fps is horrendous but the point of the map is not for actual gameplay, but rather as a showcase of the map editors potential to make things on a larger scale and with such detail. for fps's sake i remade this map without all the trees and a "different" setting for those who still want to play but dont got too good of a pc. Project lite.
